Thread: Airtel's worst plan ever Freedom 1399n1999(Airtel/KK/FL/006)

I am using the 1999 plan where the download caps are as follows....

2 Mbps till 30 GB,1 Mbps beyond 30 GB. Service Charges extra will apply.

and for 1399

1 Mbps till 25 GB,512 Kbps beyond 25 GB. Service Charges extra will apply.


So now airtel is going to control their customers'. Good isn't it?

Hey avijit...my thoughts exactly...I started with airtel with the 1299 plan...(512/1Mbps) At that time i was told that there was a fair usage policy of 100GB....I was pretty irritated about it at that time...because it totally defied the meaning of an "unlimited" plan. I even wrote about it in another plan. Recently when i called up 121 to change the plan from 1299 to 1699 (1Mbps/1Mbps) they told me that plan does not exist for kolkata anymore...all these are effective 1st of Jan..Right now...there are only 2 unlimited plans..1399 and 1999 for 1Mbps and 2Mbps with a fair usage policy of 25 and 30 gig respectively...so if i change the plan...i lose the 100 gig advantage in my current plan. Strange...since the 1299 and 1699 plan is still very much active in places like delhi..with 100 gig as the download limit...This is total crap...as there is no option for heavy internet users...

if this goes on. Then airtel will loose their customer's...in my view alliance or megh bela who are providing shared bandwidth they do not have such thing called download cap. And further more you will be getting 1:1 connection, where upload speed will be same download. This is for alliance i am not sure about megh bela.

Lets for a moment respect their hair brained policy of a download cap !! But why the difference ?? If Delhi still has a plan with 100 GB fair usage policy...why should that be 25 GB for kolkata ?? are we not paying cash ?? I think we should direct a mail to their customer care !!

Airtel makes good bucks by its FUPs. But this is really awful.

I see Airtel as Raj thakre (KSETRAVAD is haavi on them) and Bsnl is like Congress (congress ka haath aam admi k saath/gaal)

BSNL is doing that..............
and they know how to do business as in Home 500 c - they says speed between 256 Kbps to 2 Mbps but they give full speed .
But they start giving 300 kbps then also we cannot do anything as they have told everything earlier...................
