Thread: Not a Customer yet - Need Help

hey Guys,

My name is Aditya,I am from Mumbai,I am currently on Tikona WIBRO- Connection Sucks,Nevertheless I want to check if Airtel is available in my area and then I am planning to get their connection.

Any users in Mumbai - Using their connection in suburbs.Please let me know how the speeds are I am eyeing their Unlimited plans - Please let me know if there are any Fair Use Policies - how is customer care - or if there is a Login (like in Reliance Wi-max) -

My main question is about Torrent downloads - I use normally Utorrents and the speed on TIKONA is Super crap- As i am planning for an unlimited plan - Please let me know how the speed on torrentz is for downloads and the uploads as well.

I cant tell you about Airtel but I am on Tata wimax using flash 750 that gives me 750kbps during the day and 1.5mbps at night and I use torrents as well besides using the connection all night with FTP.
I have never had a phone call from Tata saying I am using too much bandwidth or anything and there were only a few initialy very bad issues but once it was up and running it never stopped for me.

On a Tata wimax connection torrent traffic is not throttled it runs as good as http

i live in kandivali << for our area << airtel broadband was available as soon as the Airtel Broadband was launched.

I have been using Airtel from past 1 year and yea it is the best.

Customer service is the best, takes 1 day = maximum for engineer to come home, if you have any problems, which are not often seen

They provide good upload @ download speed, so no worry about the speed.

You should definately switch to Airtel <<

BTW for my 512 kbps connection, i get 70 kbps download speed @ around 68kbps upload speed on torrentz. For direct download i get speed around 80kbps.

I don;t know if login interface is like reliance etc, but its easy to check your bandwith.

Yes, Airtel has fair usage policy of 100GB and after 100GB << your speed will be half and you will still retain the Unlimited bandwith.

Most of the people in Mumbai, are not going for Airtel, becoz airtel is not available in their area.

If Airtel broadband is available in your area, I say , go for it with your eyes closed , I switched from BSNL to Airtel after facing the same problem that you are , "DOWNTIME" and ive been happy ever since

i have heard that airtel broadband is good but have never used. The area i live is not connected with them.

Just switch to Airtel and experience the difference !

Call me if u r looking for some good offers of airtel broadband (discounts available for new connections only)

any one here who has a doubt weather their area is connected or not can call me to clarify their doubts.

If ur area is not connected, and u have more than 10 friends/neighbours of the same building/society who want to switch to airtel, i can help in covering the building with airtel connection ! ! !
