    You do a big mistake by asking Airtel to shift your Broadband connection.. they take ages to do tht...20 days or more sometimes..

    No company likes to loose revenue however small, however insignificant. The problem lies completely elsewhere. Municipal authorities do not allow digging of roads to lay down cables - perhaps rightly so. But this means that many areas remain unserviced. As yet, in India, the telephony companies do not allow cross-usage of cable infrastructure.

    Hence the problem with your new address may be that Airtel does not have the requisite infrastructure there. There could be other problems as well.
