    Default New 4MBPS Plan @ Rs 899

    Details of the plan :-

    COST RS 899
    4MBPS SPEED
    8GB MONTHLY BANDWITH
    WEBSITE BUILDER WORTH 250 RS
FREE VALUE PER MONTH - 250.

This plan is good for but not for people who don't download much. If Airel provided free upload then i would have certainly brought this plan.

It is really cheap. But 8 GB is a bit low for 4 Mbps.

Upload is much costly than download for ISP`s so unlimited upload is impossible.......

By the way plan is quite good.

yea i know, but still MTNL gives free uploads even in limited plans lol, i don't know what they are doing.

I think AirTel should provide good 512 kbps UL plans below Rs 1000, the current one has 15GB FUP limit which is very very low and after it its back to 256 kbps speed.

I thought it is only with BSNL people. Now understood that all broadband users irrespective of ISP are looking forward to new plans which comes below Rs. 1000.

yea like MTNL AirTel should also reduce their prices for UL plans, coz most ppl now needs UL plans, i think MTNL has done the right thing to drop their prices for UL Plans.

Why dont you just dump Airtel and switch to MTNL, rather than just hopeing that it will get better?

Airtel's minimum broadband speed at 512 kbps
Airtel has launched a new offer for its subscribers enabling them to upgrade to higher speeds for free. So subscribers currently opting for services of speeds 64 kbps, 128 kbps and 256 kbps will be upgraded to 512 kbps.

Those subscribing to 512 kbps and 1 mbps plans will be upgraded to 1 mbps and 2 mbps respectively. All these upgrades is expected to be completed by June 2010

Am interested in shifting to one of these impatience plans of either 899 or 1099 or 1399..Not yet decided..SO want to know if any of you has already experienced this..

Do u reckon I go ahead with these plans...

for Impatience 899 UL, they provide 4MBPS only for first 6GB and after that 256 kbps UL, so it sucks.

So don't go for those plans, idk why AirTel is making so sucky plans.

    hi vorazeal buddy..
Then shall I go for impatience 1099 or 1399 cuz in BSNL the comparable UL schemes give lesser browsing speed.

    ie. 512Kbps till 8gb, after 8gb its 256Kbps = Rs900/ per month (With 400 free calls)

    1Mbps till 9gb, after 9gb its 256Kbps = Rs1000/ per month (With 450 free calls)

    2Mbps till 10gb, after 10gb its 256Kbps = Rs1100 / per month (with 500 free calls)

so all the above 3 latest BSNL schemes are more crappy than the impatience schemes. That's why I thought why not change my current BSNL Home 500 plan to any one of these impatience schemes..

    What do u say...any ideas..can u guide me..

    @vorazeal, @singhmanish,
buddies am confused as to whether the impatience plan really sucks or not..I know the FUP limit in the impatience plans of airtel sucks..but pls compare it with the comparable BSNL schemes that I have mentioned above and then say whether it is slightly better than BSNL scheme or still sucks..

cuz I want to know if the impatience schemes are that bad..Cuz all the while since I have experieced BSNL service which is even worse than airtel am not able to detect anything disastrously wrong with these impatience schemes except for the fup when I compare them with bsnl....pls guide me by comparing BSNL and airtel's schemes that I have mentioned..

I want to make a decision soon abt which scheme to shift or whether to retain my present BSNL home 500 scheme (2am to 8 am UL)..that's y buddies I need help..

Agreed! those who want faster browsing of Social Networking apllications like Farmville etc is really good plan, loads very fast, but for people those who do lot of video streaming would exhaust all of the bandwidth within few hours of using, they should provide free Unlimited bandwidth of 4Mbps on YOUTUBE site, that's the ultimate site for watching videos, provide Unlimited bandwidth on YOUTUBE.COM@ 4Mbps speed airtel babus, so we can watch videos without buffering.

That is impossible but I think there should a plan like that.
Like by give +200 Rs. we can watch unlimited youtube video but only at 1Mbps.

For atleast FUP with 512 Kbps speed after crossing the limit...............

Youtube videos buffers a lot on 1Mbps speed, they should atleast make it minimum to 2Mbps Unlimited on Youtube site and other sites 512Kbps.

ok you guys are telling me that this impatience scheme is good for fast browsing but not good enough for downloading as the bandwidth gets consumed pretty quickly upon watching youtube am i right?

Actually the 3 main things I do are
    1) Intensive browsing
    2) Downloading movies from torrents (bet 2 am to 8 am in home 500 plan bsnl)
    3) downloading youtube videos and playlists of lectures from youtube (i've been doing this intensively for the past few wks (bet 2 am to 8 am)

So these are my typical activities. So u r telling me it won't suit me am i right? Is there any other scheme that'll suit my scenario? Currently am in Home 500 plan of BSNL and thought it is a high time to say bye bye to bsnl's atrocities..BUt as I see everywhere there's a fup loophole..

    Guide me gaggan and abhi..
