I have seen in few forums about increasing the speed by changing some information in 192.168.1.1 page. I live in Hyderabad/ andhra Pradesh. Can some one guide me in hacking the modem for better speeds.


I am on 699 plan, 384 kbps UL. I keep seeding/downloading movies all the time. Please help./

Mention PATIENT name (sorry! Modem model/make number).
Whether using dialer mode or PPPoE"always on" mode .
First a "BP Test "
Check your speed at
Airtel
Then " Medicines !"
Try TCP optimiser from
speedguide.net.
Next visit here, with reports !
(Re do test at Airtel.)
Max speed d/l possible 384Kbps /8= 48 KB/sec
A 2 to 3 MB file can be downloaded in 1 Minute
(* conditions apply !)
Check in Download Manager. speed will vary.

I am getting download/upload speeds upto 50 kbps on utorrent
