You could buy the Netgear wi-fi router as Admin suggested.

Netgear g model starts at Rs.1500 which i got last week. using it with airtel broadband in delhi. no problems at all. connected it to beetel modem and followed instructions on cd and i was ready with secured wifi in less than five minutes. if u use laptop its better you go for wwifi. its convenient and there is no drop in speeds due to signals either.
