    Default Ethernet and WiFi settings in ubuntu 10.04

    hello,
    i installed Ubuntu 10.04 in my dell laptop. actually the Ethernet and WiFi is being recognised in network connections but it is not connecting. it tries to connect and after some time says "disconnected". i am using beetel 450TC1 ADSL2+Router. can someone please help me solve this problem. i called CC, he said that they do not have configuration settings for linux..

    1.
    If you can access 192.168.1.1 make the settings,
    enable DHCP in modem. In computer TCP/IP
    obtain Ip address automatically. preferably in PPP/PPPoE 'Always On" connection"
    [userid and PW entered in WAN page )
    2
    creating a WLAN network in UBuntu is another matter. I am an ignoramus about LINUX ubuntu etc. seems you have set it up correctly.

    i am not able to access 192.168.1.1 in firefox.. what should do i do then??
