Thread: High Ping Rate

Dear All,
Since last 3 days I am experiencing very high Ping rates on my Airtel broadband connection, I am getting 700ms+ ping time but my download speed is as per my plan.

Can any one help me, my modem is 220BXI and I am on a Windows XP system. Airtel customer care is not ready to register my complaint as my download speed is ok.

Where are you located? Out of curiosity, I too tried the ping test on my Airtel BB. And here are the results:



However, I am experiencing occasional time-outs while browsing ..

Get your line checked,may be there are cut downs or joints in your telephone line,ask airtel about the problem!
Contact them as soon as possible,this issue is serious!

No error, just line quality goes to F most of the times.

Although i get download and upload speed as 70 kbps and no disconnections too.

May be the line quality goes to f due to slow server,
hence if disconnections and speeds are not an issue,then it's ok!

Airtel is the Best, atleast for me and my friends in my area.

If you have not faced problem with Airtel till date then there can be following reasons behind it

1)Someone in your family works in Airtel

2)Your family members or you are working at very high government posts.

3)You have done some very good deeds in your past life.

Other then these people no one will we spared by Airtel, if you have not faced problems be prepared mentally because dealing with Airtel will cause you mental anguish.

Not at all. Airtel is good for us, and i have been using Airtel from past 2 years and i have never had any problems with it.

& also Airtel was no1 ISP according to review conducted by PC World, and had the Best Customer Support according to them, and they really do.

Must be some problem with the line. On BSNL, I am getting ...

Grade B for Mumbai ...


Grade D for San Francisco ...

They were good. Their customer care is unbeatable even now, but the have lost some of their reputation by implementing very unfair Usage policies.
