Hi,

India ka ageeb airtel meain swaagat hai, discuss about speed and edge and gprs.

my prob is speed, anyone help

Airtel's gprs speed is max 100kbps, it wont matter if your phone is capable of 284kbps or has class 32 edge.
I use a motorola a920 and get a speed of about 50kbps and I dont expect more from a phone which doesnt have edge.

What speeds do you get?

I get 0 - 12 KBPS while downloading through Nokia 6270 and very good while surfing. Connecting Speed : 460.8 Kbps

I am new to Chennai and use N70 as modem to browse on my laptop with Airtel gprs.

Connecting speed: 410kbps

D/L Speed: 0-30kbps, depending on d/l server. Very lucky, if get consistent D/L speed of 7-8 kbps.

Can anyone tell me what will be the D/L speed if I switch to Unlimited 128 kbps plan of Airtel?

Costs: Airtel gprs: Rs. 375/- P.M. for unlimited use.

Airtel Broadband 128 kbps: Rs. 800/- P.M for unlimited use.
