Thread: ssh connections

I am having Airtel connection.I want some one on BSNL broadband to give them an ssh connection to my laptop which is behind a Airtel TC1 connection how is that possible.
Do I need to NAT in this case or forward port 22 to my laptop.
As on Airtel connection I have two end users.
I went to admin console but could not understand much so have left it untouched.

Gyanibaba sorry to be a bit offtopic here but its not very wise to give some one ssh access to your machine... You dont seem to be an expert on ssh thats why I had to point this out incase you are trusting someone you dont know..

Just out of interest why would you want to give some one ssh access to your computer? I can understand that to manage a server ssh comes in handy for a lot of stuff but I cant imagine why a PC needs to be accessed using ssh.

If this is about file sharing then it is best to create a FTP server on your machine and allow resume, that way you can restrict access to certain folders and your machine remains safe as well... You should also disallow uploading and only allow downloading to be on the safe side if you dont know the second party.
