Thread: Difference in Coporate Plans and Home Plans!!!

I am using airtel for quite some time now, and must say that there services are way better than any other player in the market at this time, have had bad experiences with Tata Indicom(worst of the lot) and with BSNL.

Now coming to my topic...i am using airtel 1199 or 1299 something plan at home with which they are giving me upwards of 2 mbps at Fup of 20 Gb, after using up my 20 Gb speed will lower to 256 kbps, but in my office, since the connection is in my companies name, they are charging me 1500 for the **** speed of 256-384 kbps.

I cant understand how does having the connection in the name of my company make them charge me more...they are providing the same routers, the same cables and the same services...so why should i pay more for less speed at my office???

Its so ridiculous, just thought ill share my thoughts and see what other people have to say...anyone else with a similar problem, please respond.

Well its the same everywhere! You can say its a bit "unfair" but saying its "ridiculous" would be a bit too much.


Even I have Airtel connection at my home and also at showroom and they have corporate plans for business locations.


If we go for a haircut students are given "student discount" whereas service is same. Same is the case with Laptops and other stuff. Also at various places membership of Girls is cheaper than membership of boys.


So a difference in price is there at many places whereas the service provided maybe exactly the same. You can say that Home plans are "subsidized" or the corporate plans are "overpriced" but till there is no good alternative there is really no option.


PS: You can try and bargain and you may get a discount for corporate connection.
