Thread: Airtel's Unlimited B'band FUP

As a new member of the forum, I have observed that there are a fair amount of discussions regarding Airtel's FUP. It seems that their Fair Usage Policy changes without notice and I have noticed a drastic drop in the past four months.

Below is a section from a pamphlet I picked up at one of their Relationship Centers in March 2010 prior opting for the South Turbo 1299 Plan.

To confirm if this FUP was still in existence I sent an email to their CC on 03.08.10 and this was their reply:-

It is self explanatory as to how their FUP has changed. In my opinion the FUP in March was quite reasonable, though it can be debated as to why limitations are placed on "unlimited" plans. Anyway, this is just a piece of information for those with Airtel broadband and if you observe a drop in your respective speeds.

Is 1699 plan which is 2mbps, 100GB FUP still available..???

I was speaking to this customer care exec n he was like "Change in TRAI regulations" n I fuckin' believed it. So are they going to change it or what?

It is true that Airtel has a fair usage policy. My plan is 4mb/s speed @ 899 per month. My fair usage policy is 25gb. So far I have not exceeded that so I am happy!

actually i dont face any speed downgrade after 8gb
