Thread: can i use bsnl teracom adsnl modem for airtel???

hi frnd,
frnds i want to hve wifi for my labtop..but the problem is my modem is not wifi..i hve an extra bsnl teracom modem which is wifi..i tried to connect..but it is not getting connected..
i tried using ppoe mode..but it saying connection could not establised...could any 1 please tell me how to configare this modem for aitel?? plz send me configration....thnks im advance??? plz send me any link if u think it will be useful foe me to configure.

Presume you can connect in LAN mode either desktop or laptop with Airtel supplied modem Beetel 110BXI or beetel 110TC1. If so keep this as standby.

In teracom select VPIVCI 1 and 32. Dns 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.220.220
Usual Id and PW etc.
Test in Lan mode
then wifi

I have the same problem as you. i have teracom wifi modem and i want to use with airtel connection. Did you got it working with the suggestions given by essbebe. Could me tell me some detail what exactly need to be done? Thanks in advance friend.

Step1:
If you have a Dialer, in which you can enter USERID and PW
connect to Airtel phone jn ==>splitter=Modem Port==Teracom
Enter Userid and PW in Dialer.

You may get connected !
If not : RESET to factory settings and try again.
Step 2 :

Open 192.168.1.1 admin admin
Follow the screen shots given here.
and try in :LAN mode.
