Thread: 2MBPS Speed From Airtel

Airtel is going bad with lots of worst plans... so i planned of changing to Reliance or BSNL... I am using Airtel for past 4 years and i am using 899 plan with 512KBPS with FUP... So i called Airtel for disconnection... One airtel person came to my home and he told long story about service of Reliance and BSNL... He said that he will give me a good plan with my requirements... So i asked him unlimited 512KBPS without FUP... He to agreed to give... After 1 week, i checked my speed, i was getting 2MBPS... i thought that it may be some error in Airtel side... But still after 1 week i am getting 2MBPS... since i am getting huge speed i downloaded movies like crazy ( more than 25GB )...

Now my question is "How it happened ?",,, Anybody getting speed like me ?

i got fear of calling CC... because if it is problem in Airtel side, and if i called them, they will correct and i again get 512 KBPS speed... ... so i did not called the CC..

If you ask me, I would advice you to get it checked with the customer care. They have data-transfer based plans; what if they have set your profile to one such plan? No use crying when they start billing you for the data transfer!

even if the problem is with Airtel, it is their mistake that they gave 2MBPS speed... so if they charge too much they will get fucked... and also i checked my broadband usage online and it shows Rs.0 for me...

am sure you are very lucky to get one tech representative who changed you plan.. enjoy and downloading movies till you get caught..

You are very lucky.anyway keep the track of billing otherwise they will bill you huge amount

yes they can charge huge amt of bill....unlimited 2mbps is not a joke...bsnl does not provide then this is a airtel who always charge more than other service provider....how much u r getting download speed in KB/s??

i am getting 200kbps +... last month bill is just 760, they did not charged me...

seems some error from colombo server. or select say Sydney.

M usin 799ul plan n no1 told me abts its FUP,so my bb speed dec to 256 kbps bt there is no effect on torrent downloding n direct dwnldng. its avg 57 on torrent n almost avg of 69 on IDM.....n my brwsng speed also dec....
