Thread: Can Airtel Broadband work on BSNL modem(AR800V V3.0)?

I have a BSNL AR800V V3.0 type 2 modem. I have moved to Airtel Telephone and Broadband service as the BSNL always kept on giving problems with the land line. My query is, will Airtel broadband connection work with AR800V modem (modem + wifi router)? Or will I have to get another Modem installed from Airtel again?
Initially the Airtel person had told me that they will be get me Airtel internet configured on BSNL modem. But now they are finding it difficult to keep the word and is complaining that the modem is faulty!
Has anyone ever succesfully configured Airtel on BSNL provided modem?

I am using the same modem. All you have to do is to change VPI/VCI as 0 - 32 and change your user name and password. Everything else is the same.

If you are facing difficulty in using PPPoE mode, simple try Bridge mode. Just delete the 0 - 35 entry and create a new one.

change VPI/VCI as 0 - 32

Another set of Airtel technical staff managed to get it work.

thanks for the information provided.. am already having this modem with BSNL AR800V V3.0 type 2 modem with BSNL modem... and planned to buy the same modem for my cousin who is having Airtel BB connection..

Hope this helps me getting this configuring the new modem with airtel bb connection..
