    Question Problems on Airtel 1399 Plan

    Any help or advice would be helpful, i've lost all hope

    I switched over from 512 kbps unlimited (1299/-) to the 4mbps connection (1399) last to last month with a bandwidth cap of 25GB.

    September was fine, I got to around 20 days with 4mpbs and the rest at 256kbps.

    My bill date was 27th of September and right after paying my bill, My speed was switched back to 4mbps , I was happy . But not for long. eh

    On the 14th of October I check my download speed and its not exceeding 248kbps. Airtel CC guys tell me that my Downloads are at 35gb.
    I also have DU Meter installed and it tells me that my usage from the 1st to the 14th is ~12GB.

    The airtel usage chart is dated from 1st - 14th of October and suddenly the date jumps back to 25th of september and goes on to the 30th logging far more bandwidth than what DU Meter and (my memory) suggest.

    File a ticket with the CC. Tell them that the usage displayed on the Airtel website is at fault. I too checked it, after 14th October 2010, the data usage of September is listed. Might be a temporary error. If you do not get a satisfactory reply from the CC, send in an email to the nodal officer. Ensure to include the complaint number in that email.

    Such issues are usually sorted out swiftly by Airtel - provided you contact the right sources.
