Thread: Airtel Double Speed at Bangalore...

Dear FRIENDS,

I am from Bangalore and have Airtel broadband for over a year...My initial plan was 256 kps for RS.799 and then changed to 512 kbps, when I was offered double speed for paying RS.100 per month besides the normal rental...

Since last month I am getting 1 mbps download and 512 kps/1mbps upload speed , I have tested it by downloading 25 GB of movies in the last three weeks from torrents and the download speed was consistent...

I would like to know whether Airtel has doubled the speed of 512 kbps to 1 mbps in Bangalore or i am getting this speed by their mistake...

I've contacted Airtel about this, apparently they've double line speed for every one. Just don't change your broadband plan to any of those new FUP plans. And any time Airtel calls, tell them to leave you on your existing plan.
