Thread: airtel gprs speed

i hv recently started using airtel gprs net pack of 13 rs[validity 3 days].
the speed is vey low.i get download speed of 6-8kbps [through pc using nokia n-70].is this the max speed available ?

can i get better speed if i use net through samsung omnia?

which phone do you use for browsing??

keep it on something like height.. like hanging on door and see the speed.. more network more speed.

you should also check if your phone has edge support or not.

Nishil, Airtel GPRS gives speeds of only about 6-15k. I've tried on multiple phones like nokia 6500, 5800, 6303c, N900

Get a WLL phone from BSNL. It is free if you have a land line with bill exceeding Rs. 1,800 for 3 months in total. It give 115 Kbps. My friend is getting an average of 10 -12 KBps.

what about charges and speed of other mobile network providers like vodafone,tata,idea,aircel and others?
