    Default Unlimited Broadband Plans

    Hi,
I currently use the airtel 256kbps unlimited download plan.
I wanted to switch to either a 512 kpbs or a 1 mbps plan , also with unlimited
    download limit.
I'm not sure if airtel offers such plans in Chennai , but i'm willing to change isp if needed .
I've contacted airtel thrice & all they do is send you a spread sheet of tarrifs of plans with a 2-4 gb download limit.
Just wanted to know what other isp I ought to consider switching to.

I dont think Airtel offers Unlimited plans for anything more then 256kbps.

Their 128 UL plan is for 800 a month and 256 UL plan for 1275 a month!

Copy Paste from current webpage reads:

    Unlimited 800 Unlimited 1275
    Plan Rental 777 725 925 725 800 1275
    Speeds 2 Mbps* 2 Mbps* 2 Mbps* 256 kbps 128 kbps 256 kbps
    Modem Rental (Rs.) 49 49 49 49 49 49

^ at present BSNL is not providing 2mbps speed for
unlimited plans . all lower plans are upgraded and the
downloading speed can be up to 2mbps .

Dataone Home 500 plan can be effectively used for
unlimited downloading from 2 AM to 8 AM .

I mailed them on Jan 14th and got my Plan changed on Jan16th.

buddy just an advice for all never go for the BSNL because BSNL is the worst n suckest company i have ever saw in the world.......i camplained in their office n they took 3 months for fixing the problem n thn too not working properly....

i would suggest you 2 always go wth airtel or reliance they are the best .....although they are expensive but best service in india......

exactly. as long as its ok, its the best. but once the problem starts, it follows the Murphy's Law, if anything can go wrong, it will go wrong.
Plus there is a wait time of anything from 15 days to 2 months in getting the connection.

Smile Best Plan is BBG FN Combo 599!

Because, this is normal speed upto 512kbps = 64KB/sec.

    4GB free download.

    200 free calls.

    Night(2pm - 8am) Unlimited free download.

You can't download upto 4 GB in Unlimited 625.

I think, this is waste your time and money.

So choose, BBG FN Combo 599.

    Default Very satisfactory...

I have been using Airtel boradband for the last 3 years and I am very satisfied with it. In between, I had thought of changing my service provider, but couldn't find a plan that matches with mine at a cheaper rate. I live in Ghaziabad and my plan details are as follows:

-Unlimited broadband at 2 Mbps till 10 Gb and 256 Kbps after that
-Calling worth Rs. 100 free from landline every month
-Calling rate A-to-A 1p/sec (Local and STD), A-to-others 1.2p/sec (Local and STD)
    -Rental of Rs. 649 only!

Till date, I have not faced a technical problem. Only once I called the Airtel engineer and made him install the DSL point (broadband and landline) at 2 different locations in my house and the same was done for free.

^^ Yes every time reliance entertainment is about to release a film, they will block access to all file sharing networks.

What is the use of a no FUP connection, when they impose such tactics?

actually each company has its own policy of making profits so reliance is doing nothing new!

i call it a joke, they have made a mockery out of unlimited plans and are taking customers for a ride. I am waiting for the day TRAI wakes up and does something about it.

    Hi Rocky,

I know its late to reply, but better late than never. I have logged in after a long time.

Dude, I am an old customer of Airtel for some 3 years now. That is why I have certian benefits over new customers. Yes, the current plan is of 999, but I get to pay only 649 for the same, that too bundled with free calling worth 200-300 every month. I had this plan since the beginning, but the speed and free calling were upgraded lately by Airtel people themselves, without any extra cost.

I would suggest Tikona to you. There 699 plan is good, wherein you get 2 mbps till 7.5 gb and 512 kbps thereafter. A lot of people on this forum find Bsnl as affordable, I beg to differ.

Anyways, did you finally take one?

no way dude I believe BSNL has the best and most stable plans available right now with 512k UL@ 750. I've been using this connection for a while and it will suffice any general usage needs.
