Default Did Underwater Cables to europe break again?

for the past 1 week, the latency to europe servers got increased.
    i used to get 180-200, now it's 260-280.

while on the US servers i get lower latency.

    What could be the reason?

I think problem is from Airtel server side dont know exact reasons. might be some upgradation issues. But my donloads are working perfectly and Skype(voip) calls are also working fine. Might be you use online gaming thats why you want it to be less on international servers.

Somebody from the forum might know the exact reason for it

Well, i do get full speed for normal downloads but i get 60% reduced speed for torrents.

    And here's something i found.
Etisalat, Airtel launch fibre optic cable from India to Europe

Which says they have launched fibre optic cables from india to europe but shouldn't that decrease the latency instead of increasing it?

For general torrents i also get low sdownload speeds but for paid sites i am getting full 1mbps as per my line. And as for Fibre optic cable from India to europe Airtel might be using it for dedicated services and corporate clients and keeping us customers on old under sea links.

Have you tried port forwarding and is your speed good for downloads from sites like microsoft. Because lower speeds on torrents is normal if torrents are on free tracker.
