    hi essebee,

I ran out of patience... no use...i dont know something is missing..in the last post i was mentioning abt the password...its ending as -1-1 and i typed the same

i changed the vpi and vci to 1 and 32 and then there is something called port which i gave 0.

then did everything as u have told then saved and rebooted ..nothing happened.

can u tell me the basic setup

i have the phone line connected to line in bsnl ZTE modem
then with the ethernet connected to the laptop to one end and the otherend conencted to the bsnl modem.

then i typed 192.168.1.1 to enter the modem ZTE and followed the same..please help me its driving me crazy!

    btw,

do i have to do all this procedure with the wireless on on my laptop or once i finish all the procedure then do i have to remove the ethernet or still continue with the local conenction?

    Default hi essebee

    okay here is the history

i moved to hyderabad some months back and i got myself an airtel broad band connection which works fine . it comes iwth the beetel adsl 2 plus router.

then i asked them to change to wireless and they told me i have to buy their wireless modem for 1500 rs and i also i had a bsnl wireless modem so was surfing on the net on how to configure for airtel connection

im using now the airtel connection but with the ethernet cable with beetel modem. then i change the connection to bsnl and try what u said.

and about the -1-1 thing its my password that ends with this. not sure if i have to type that -1-1.

Why you guys cannot post proper information in the first place , I cannot understand. In a court, like a lawyer < I have to ask all sort of questions to get the picture !!!

I have decided , not to respond immediately to any post /new thread, and will post only after 24 hours delay. Let other members contribute first.
If the user gets good replies and solutions , I will be the most happiest person that my contribution is not needed..

NEXT POST/reply from me if needed July5th 1045 PM

Even now you have not given the model/number of the Airtel ADSL modem in use. 110BXI or Beetel 220BXI etc.
(same as ZTE531B )BSNL supplied less wifi board !!!)
Now if you are connected to Airtel BB in modem settings AirtelUSERID and PW have to be entered correctly.
    Make a note of it.
If password is hidden ******* , ask Airtel CC .

    Task 1:
Get connected in LAN mode with ZTE531B to AIRTEL duplicating the entries as seen in old adslmodem ( without wifi ).

    Task 2:
IF WIFI was working earlier &
SSID and security key already seen/entered in wifi page , same can be used for Airtel BB.
    SSID name does not matter.

    feedback.

Unfortunate the model is different :Beetel 110TCI. same model I use )
leave it alone and use it for connecting to Internet.
confirm you get connected automatically, as soon as system switched on.

    2. Confirm the PW from AirTel CC or type (example abcd23-1-1)
    and try
In The Chennai link follow exactly all instructions. Part 1 for LAN mode.

In the beetel110TCI don't make any changes .

you should note down the settings for each page from the link given Chennai link.
Then connect Beetel450BXI and enter the data
    try LAN mode first.

Luckily no changes needed in computer!!

Now I have connected similar modem .beetel 110BXI
If i send the screen shots can you save it to your hard disk.?
reply. What is the use ?> same thing already available to you !

If you want to know how to save what is seen on screen check my link "monitor"

Unless you make the proper entries and with RJ45 cable connection ( same like beetel 110TCI) &connect to Internet in LAN mode .

Then any one of us can make the wifi settings ONLINE for YOU !!!
or you use the links already given.

    select any link and study.
    or see this link
    http://mydataone.net/router/wa3002g4.html
only select line 1_32 EDIT and use airtel ID and PW !!!
    feedback.
There is even a video link in the wa3002_g4 link!!

NO. this is not the way

removed the fone line and plugged to my zte modem and then one end of the ethernet to one of the LAN port in zte modem and the other end in my laptop.
    :
You can use ONLY one modem witht the ADSL splitter.

    step 1 : Disconnect Power/RJ11/rj45 cables from Beetel 110TCI
    and connect to
    step 2:Beetel 450BXI ( You have mentioned ZTE ???)
    enter the details.
    Check Diagnostics page.
    Para two:
Please open Chennai link and Save the pages to your hard disk.
    say to desktop.
Then all the Menu pages are available to you in the folder !
    try it .
    feedback.

Same way the Powerpoint presentation. download it .
    Para Three:

try dialer mode""Bridged"]. Later to PPPoE/Always On

    Default hi essbebe

yes , i have bsnl ZTE DSL 531 B router cum wireless modem only and not Beetel 450BXI

So you are saying i remove the RJ11 and RJ 45 cables from my Beetel modem and then connect it to ZTE DSL 531B modem. rj45 cables one end will be on my laptop and the other end will be in the LAN port of the ZTE DSL 531B modem. am i right?
