Airtel service is just fine here. Absolutely brilliant compared to previous BSNL connection.
Customer service is excellent. Last time I reported a problem I had three engineers (ok, two were trainees) in the house within two hours, and a new modem about half an hour later.
Absolutely no complaints about FUP. Why? Because I knew what plan I was signing up to.
On the other hand ...
They do seem to be using some pretty underhand ways to get people off unlimited plans onto limited plans, without informing them properly, just by offering them a free "upgrade" to a higher speed. If you are a victim of that plan then I can see why you are complaining.
Anyone being offered an "upgrade" by Airtel should get the full facts and conditions before accepting
I did not upgrade my plan though I was offered to upgrade several times by Airtel. Still my FUP limit was reduced to 15Gb from 100Gb on my Downloader 1099 plan.
Those who are singing songs in praise of Airtel will realize soon enough the true motives of Airtel.
"If you are not cheated by Airtel in billing or in FUP limits till now then you are lucky, your luck will not last forever, Airtel will show you there true face eventually and then you will come crying back to these forums."
I suggest Airtel should move there operations completely to Africa or other countries where people are still unaware about using there broadband connection.
