Thread: Im done with airtel!!!

Im from Mumbai.
Before airtel i had mtnl broadband , that time there was no unlimited plan by mtnl and their service sucked big time (as its semi-government). So i shifted to airtel with unlimited plan of 512kbps.
Currently i have plan of Rs 749/month , 512 kbps till 5 gb and then 256kbps.
this is the first time that ive completely used 5gb data(within 2 weeks)and their 256kbps speed feels like 50kbps speed with super high pings.
So i called CC and told them to change my plan to 1299/month , with 2mbps till 20gb only and then again 256kbps after that.
This is really crap,
I feel like changing back to mtnl as they have great unlimited plans now with no FUPs and stuff and they offer 749kbps speed unlimited for just 800 bucks.But the thing worrying me is their SERVICE.
Now people please suggest me ,
Should i switch to MTNL , has their service improved now???
or is there any other better unlimited broadband service.

MTNL will not dissappoint you, Airtel will never learn.

I want to change to mtnl, but the problem is that i have to change my Landline number too , which becomes a big mess. Is there a way to change only broadband plan without changing my current airtel landline number.

My opinion to you is stick with airtel for time being..after some months switch to other networks.

As more and more competition are there..surely all will revise their plan soon.

You can explore Reliance, they have true UL services without any cap.. I have used their services in Mumbai for 4 years and was very happy.

Thats what i did too for 6 months i waited nothing happened then finally switched to BSNL 3g now getting over 400+ kB/s on torrents and 2 Mb/s upload. If it had not implemented the **** you policy i would still be on some stupid airtel plan
