Default How to monitor my Airtel Limited Usage

I have recently taken Airtel Limited 349 Plan (Corporate Plan) for which I have speed of 2.1 Mbps and download limit of 2 GB.

Can someone tell me how can I monitor my broadband usage. When I tried to register in Airtel site its giving me an error message saying Alternate contact number is not provided.

Can I use softwares like Netmeter or Tautology Net Meter. How reliable are these?

    .You can try NetworX .
Are they asking for alternate Mobile phone number ?
if you don't have any other telephone number type the same number or a friend's telephone number with his permission.
Possibility of using it may not arise.

    Default Bandwidth Meter Pro

I use Bandwidth Meter Pro with my Airtel 4 mbps.
Install it, reset the month-start date to the start of your billing cycle. For example, mine starts on the 25th of every month. Set a download limit of your choice and when it hits the limit, an alarm beeps. It also allows for an alarm for daily download limits. Pretty nifty.
It has both download and upload stats. Also generates reports I think, if you require, though I've never tried that.
I use it to keep my 4 mbps line from crossing 20GB per month. Works like a charm.

I have two computers, one a desktop the other a laptop. How can I monitor the usage so that the total usage is considered rather than the usage on one computer.

You can install a bandwidth meter on both machines and simply add the total usage. I am using it in 2 systems and adds the usage details at the end of the month. Check with the customer care and request access to your usage portal.

You can create an account in airtel.in and login and check you usage, billed amount and even pay bill from there. If you want an easier way out, install any bandwidth usage software like freemeter or bandwidth meter
