Default Urgent query regarding Beetel 450BXI

    Hello,

Okay, I'm a real newbie to configuring routers. This is a Beetel 450BXI wireless router I have here with Airtel broadband connection.

When I login to access the DSL settings of the router at 192.168.1.1, the interface I see is completely different from what it is suppose to be, according to Airtel customer care as well as the screenshots I have seen on the internet.

Also, there is NO option to configure wireless anywhere. The MAC filtering is enabled and I see no option/list anywhere to add new MAC addresses or even view the current authorized MAC's. (just to add, my MAC is authorized but I don't see it anywhere).

Here is how the interface looks, which is different from the default:

Model is Beetel 110TCI (REPEAT) 110TCI ( NON WIFI MODEL)
Interface setup for WIRELESS :see pages 12 and 13 (Help may be missing )
Do you find an antenna in the model ?
Call AIRTEL CC for exchange .

Thanks for the reply. But that is what I am saying, the model is 450BXI for sure, however, the interface is completely different and it is working perfectly fine.

Actually, there was a hardcore networking guy who used to manage this router until today. He used to do all kinds of stuff on this, but he is not here anymore or else I would have consulted him.

I just want to know how to add/remove MAC addresses in this router. I'm not even getting the option anywhere to change the security type or SSID. There is NO wireless tab either.

Yes, there is an antenna in the router. And right now, I'm connected wirelessly to that router, and 4 more people are connected to it right now. But I have no clue how to add/remove MAC addresses now, as the interface is so different with NO wireless tab/option.

Enable the security key option. (see Page 11 or 12)
MAC page also seen in Page 13.

Beetel 450BXI/WA3002_g4/DNA A212-I all similar models with same /Nokia siemens 1600/Siemens sl141 etc are same hardware board and wifi board.
( also many beetel 220BXI/beetel110BXI etc without wifi )

Beetel 450TCI is similar to WA 3002_g1 utstar model.

Check the firmware version of your unit and give feedback.
Latest in my signature link Beetel220BX.

There is no security key option anywhere, as there is no wireless tab anywhere in router settings.

    Firmware Version: T1B-0Q-005

When I switch on my laptop, I get connected to the internet. No, its not dial up. It connects to it wirelessly itself. MAC filtering is enabled in this router and the previous hardcore networking guy has authorized my MAC for that, BUT HOW, I have no idea.

BUT NOW, when he is no more here and I have the router login info, I don't see any wireless information, no security key info, no MAC addresses list and NOTHING related to wireless.

Check the first screenshot that I posted, it doesn't have the WIRELESS tab in Interface Setup, unlike the picture you posted. How is this possible?

Here is my WLAN info from cmd:

    Code:

    .Problem:
User cannot see/access wifi menu options.
But can work in wifi mode . FW of NON wifi modem Beetel 110TCI

If you can surf in WIFI mode , call AIRTel CC, and let him FLASH the new FIrmware.
    DO NOT Attempt yourself>
AIRTEL Engineer will usually replaces the unit.
If you have a limited plan , your connection may be available to others in WIFI Mode.
You cannot disable the wifi also !!!
Please update this evening. Call Airtel CC>

The strange thing is that even though there is no Wireless option anywhere in the router settings page, MAC filtering is still working. Those who are/were already authorized are able to connect, and the newer ones are unable to connect.

I have already given a call to Airtel CC, and explained them the whole story. They said they'll reset the whole settings but I will need a LAN cable to access the router physically, which unfortunately I do not have. Hence, I posted here.

they'll reset the whole settings but I will need a LAN cable to access the router physically,
    Surprised by the above report.
I am on wifi mode and access three units
    Beetel110BX1/Vonage voipmodem/NetGear Wgr614
    without using a LAN(Rj45) cable.

You had posted a screen shot (old picture ?)and also , the Firmware version.
That only wifi settings pages are missing/ not seen etc.

Confirm you can access the menu pages
by typing 192.168.1.1userID admin PW password ( default)
    or

    when connected to Internet check
What Is My IP Address? Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more...
    say EXAMPLE : 117.23.34.45
Retype it again in browser address bar.
A new window may open to access the router settings.

    2.
How many systems are in use ? All are connected in WIFI Mode ?
    Mention OS used.
Presume the SSID name given by your friend appears in all systems,( NETWORK page in computers)
    including the new users.
    For Beetel 450TCI
    Firmware Version : V85.2.04.02
    ADSL Firmware Version : FwVer:3.12.8.201_TC3086 HwVer:T14.F7_7.0
