Thread: How to configure Huawei HG510 Router for Airtel Broadband

I am an Airtel Broadband user using 220BXI Router. I have 2 PC in my office. Earlier I shared my Internet connection on both network using Internet sharing on WIN XP. somehow the connection crashes and I am unable to connect to internet from second computer, file sharing is still working. I have Mtnl broadband modem HG 510 which has 4 LAN outputs. I configured the modem but with a lack of minor or can say major mistake which I can't understand the modem dosen't connect to internet. In the diagnostic tool provided in the router shows ADSL synchronization status Fail. There is not Quick Setup mode. Do anyone help me out for configuration. Also how to enable LAN1 and LAN2 slots to get access on both PC ?

It appears HG510 has the same menu pages like Beetel 220BXI.

Anyway
Follow the settings in Beetel and in LAN page
enable DHCP. Give a range 192.168.3. to 1 say 192.168.1.10.
Apply Save reboot.

Connect Rj11 to Hg510. Lan1 to desk top Lan2 to Desktop 2.
should work.
If still problem ensure you have selected PPPoE mode
( USERID PW stored in modem WAN page )

Thanks for helping, but still I am not able to configure.... The screen shown on the link provide for UTSTAR is very much dirrerent that of HG510. The configuration shown in that link is for bsnl dataone.. Do I attach the screen shots for HG510 setup screen for u to help me?
I think I am not that much technical as required for this job.
