This is advise for people living in Indirapuram area about the pathetic services of Airtel in this area. I have always believed the company is good but the customer care is just bad bad bad and that will cost the company an exodus of customers.
My problem is that of an intermittent internet connection that is persistent since 15 days. After repeated calls, all I got from the executives was excuses of not visiting and rationalization to close the service request numbers than a resolution. After repeated threats of cancellation for the bad service I was assured of resolution of the issue without any respite or remedy.
After around 20-25 calls, filing around 3-4 service requests and escalating about 4-5 times I have finally cancelled my account with Airtel.
My latest service request numbers were - 44822112, 44813686,44676816, 44675970. Then I finally filed for cancellation to resolve the issue for good.
Needless to say I have spent so much time that I thought it was best to advise fellow customers of the bad state of affairs and the pathetic executives who man the customer care phone lines and the linesperson as well.
Take your own call but I thought this was an experience worth sharing and also my way of broadcasting the state of affairs at Airtel.

Update-> The cancellation request was never logged. An executive finally visited and identified this to be a wiring issue and finally fixed it by using another parallel wire that I was already installed and that seemed to work fine. The executive came at the end of the day but my knowledge of wiring and irritation worked this time and I got him to change the earlier wiring and switch to the new one. He didn't agree earlier but then I told him about how to use a multi-meter and then he did the rest without arguing.
Update 2 -> The following morning the problem starts again. Now again have to fight for the cancellation.
