I've never used an Apple machine. Now i want to use an Ipad wirelessly in my house. I have airtel BB, a desktop running windows 7 and a beetel 450BXI (ADSL2+MODEM)

    Any help would be great.

    TIA.

Beetel 450BXI can be used as a wifi Access point.
See my signature link wa 3002-G4 for screen shots etc.

Enable dhcp in lan page . Give range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10
try WIFI without any security key.
The ssid name you give will appear in Ipad

YES. You can switch of the desktop also ! if you don't need it. ( of course computer needed to do modem/router settings initially )
Wifi router will connect Ipad to Internet .

    VPI/VCI for Airtel 1 and 32.

confirm Desktop works in LAN mode.
    then. Ipad in wifi mode.
