Thread: Cap on Voice Billing

Dear Friends,
I am a resident of meerut(west UP). I have Airtel Broadband connection. I wish to change the current one to Impatience 649 plan . Usually I make calls worth less than Rs 200 per month. The current plan allows me 200 rupees worth of free calls (local +STD). However the current plan does not clearly mention that 200 rs of calls is free. instead it gives the following info
Voice Benefits: Cap on Voice Billing Rs.200*
* Description
Rs. 0-200 - charges as per plan
Rs 200 - 2000 zero charges
> Rs 2000 - charges as per plan
Please help me to know what does it exactly mean. Will I be charged for initial calls worth Rs. 200. This is not what i want. the customer care centre near my place do not give any clear answers.

Like in Delhi I Use 999 1mbps 15gb cap on Data and no free calls. Cap on voice billing is Rs300, which means I will be charged if call bill is below 300 and if My bill is 2000 my rest amount Rs1700 will be waived off. which means this

Calls <300----------- Chargeable as per plan
Calls 1-2000--------- Rs300 in Total
calls >2000 --------- Chargeable as per plan over 2000.

Hope this clarifies your doubts. I called up Airtel a month back to enquire about this Voice capping. Either call less from Airtel or make sure to make every call from Airtel to save on charges.
