Thread: D-Link GLB-802C Reset problems

Guys, help me,
I have been facing a strange problem in my router.
I have a ADSL2+ Router GLB-802C and almost 5 months old. But today, it is automatically reset and restart also i cannot connect to internet. But when i give configuration in modem page i.e. 192.168.1.1 after i click on commit and after sometime i also click on reboot.
After rebooting my modem works and connect to internet. When i turn off my modem and start after sometime it will not connect to internet and also check on modem's gateway I see that i save my setting was deleted and i have to reenter my setting to connect internet.
After sometime my modem suddenly restart and all my settings gone. It is continue always. It's PPPOE mode is also not working.
Settings couldnot save after i switch off or on.
If i apply setting two or three times then after that i connect to internet but for only some minutes and after modem automatically reset and restart and setting was gone.
Also one thing it is very heated after 1 hr use constantly.

Position, so that air circulation is there through vents. ( Vertical to horizontal or visa versa )

i always click the commit button but router resets automatically and commit button does not save the settings at all.

How long do you wait after clicking the "commit" button ?

until it says changes save committed successfully.

You may try a FIRMWARE upgrade from Dlink web site,
at YOUR OWN RISK

Click support. for user manual QIG FW upgrade etc.
