    Then don't use wireless mode.
    Reduce Transmit power.
Keep the wifi router parallel to the ground and rotate , so that
signals reach in a "figure of eight" polar pattern. within your house.
Check the range of reception within the radius of your house.
If even your laptop fails , you can sleep soundly !!
Also if, in a Flat complex at different floors.

Your own Security key also can be hacked !!

That beats the point of paying Rs1500 to Airtel for a WiFi modem.
And I need WiFi for my phone and 2 laptops.

Again you have not given the Range of wifi reception as it is ?
Most WIFI routers do not work beyond a radius of 30 or 40 feet.

That beats the point of paying Rs1500 to Airtel for a WiFi modem
Earlier they used to take a NON refundable deposit.

Your own Security key also can be hacked !!
Its very difficult to hack WPA/WPA2, esp if its long.

How do I find Wifi range?

Most WIFI routers do not work beyond a radius of 30 or 40 feet.

Take your Phone and go around your location /street signal level bar if and try to surf the internet.
You have to go in all four directions. Note the distance.

    Well I reduced the range.

Now does anyone know, where I can see the connected wifi clients/computers in my router?

From Base what is the Max distance in feet you get satisfactory reception
    in wifi ? 20 feet 30 feet 40 feet . ?
    2.
    Click the wireless LAN Icon
    show available wifi networks.
( Mention OS used in next post : windows 7/Vista/Xp Sp3 etc. )

i have the same router as ishu

    have mtnl delhi as ISP.

    But there's a problem.

through SSID MGMNT i m not able to access web on my phone.

secondly, the only SSid available has Authentication Type Listbox disabled on WPA2 Enterprise.
Hence, cannot change the authentication type.

Moreover There IS no field where i can check for my present WPA2 key and hence cannot change it as well.

net is working fine on my pc through LAn but cannot access internet through WI fi on phone.

    plz help.

Guys MGMNT is a default SSID that ISP's are having in their modems.... so its like the 2nd SSID for the router.... There is nothing to worry about it what we can do is just add a good WPA2-PSK key for MGMNT so that no unauthenticated person can access it... And the firware version which are available till yet are not upto the mark and does not resolves the issue.... so just put in a good security key for MGMNT... Even i consulted with my airtel service provider .... even they said that they are working on it and soon a new firware will be released to overcome this issue..
