    Default Troubleshooting Beetel 450TX1

    Hi guys!
I got a new Airtel broadband connection with Beetel 450TC1.

My problem is that, there seems to be a IInd SSID with the name of "MGMNT". Whenever I try to change to the MGMNT SSID in the router, its all greyed out.

It doesn't sound like a huge problem, but the thing is it is ONLY secured by WEP and I'm concerned about security.

Does this SSID appear in your Laptop Wireless networks Page ?

Also check Client TR_069 menu and disable it.
    Usually AIRTEL sets this. enabled.

Not sure about MAC filter white list. Enabled ? ( whether available in 450BXI) Do you find any additional MAC address listed ?

Yes its detectable on my laptop.

Where would I find Client TR_069?

Yes I've enabled MAC Filtering (whitelist).

    PS That was fast. Thanks.

    Is CWMP same as TR_069?
I found that from wikipedia. I have disabled it but I still see the MGMNT SSID.

Can you save a screen shot wifi page and post as jpg atttachment here ?

Tr-069 client. Airtel can upgrade your Firmware, and check the connection etc remotely. Also SNMP menu. Not required

Select the MGMNT ssid in your laptop.
if you know the wep code enter it.
How many signal bars seen ?
    What happens ?.

Seems Ok. it could be default setting by Airtel. ( factory default )

You can try a new ssid with no security key. No 3 say.

When multiple laptops are connected each user may be given a different SSID access/ securitycode..

    Feedback.

    PS:
Better to upload in IBF the screen shots. ( or in tinypic.com)
keep picture size to minimum size possible ( readable )
Select Go Advanced/scroll down/ Manage attachments
( you can upload from Harddisk or from external url's )
Sometimes ImageShack does not show the pictures.

I had to log in to access the screenshots.
Also after sometime the pictures are deleted also.

YES. Just to check you don't get two ssid's !!!
should not make any difference logically !
PVC3 to PVC7 seems to be deleted.
When you activate option to SAVE/DELETE
will appear again in bottom of page.

If you can add more SSID No3 , 4 etc
    SSID No 2
MNgmt can be assumed to be factory default settings.

Anyway thanks for the wifi page input of this modem/router.,

I can't find the option of adding more SSIDs or removing them.

This MGMNT is putting my network at risk. Anyone can access my internet and steal my bandwidth.

    contact Airtel CC.
If you see other SSID's in your Network, other than your own (2)
then there is a possibility MNGMT is also seen by others.
Since you have entered the MAC address of your WLAN card in MAC filter, even if there is no security key, other users cannot access your network.MAC address will be seen.

    to get MAC address
    Check ipconfig /all
Wlan card MAC address will be seen.
