Rep Power: 0  |  How to increase broadband speed Hey im having airtel broadband at 128kbps unlimited download...when i check my downstream it shows Downstream Upstream Rate (Kbps) 576 576 SNR Margin (dB) 30.2 16.0 Attenuation (dB) 28.0 4.0 AttainableRate(Kbps) 11296 1380 Output Power (dBm) -6.3 0.3 Super Frames 387039 387037 Super Frame Errors 1 0 when i download any files it starts at 90 sometimes even 110kbps and gradulaly it decreases to 20kbps how to download these at above 50kbps |

Rep Power: 0 |  dear friend, i'll share whatever i know about this... with 128 kbps bandwidth the max net data transfer speed u (avg download speed) you can get is 16 kbps. The reason why higher speeds are shown at the start of the download is that the moment u click download button, the download actually begins in the temp file while u r still setting location for saving/renaming your file to your desired location and this time is not counted while showing the download rate. Although with parallel downloads 10 ~ 15 kbps can be achieved in each download, i.e net bandwidth usage will be higher (sum of all downloads) in that case. Only way to increase download speed is to use download accelerator softwares...but these also might not give higher speeds in all cases. |
