    Angry Airtel Broadband Issues.

    I've been using airtel broadband from last 5 years and never had any issues. Recently my internet (wireless) keeps disconnecting at random times and only works when I reboot my router or turn wifi of and back on on my PC/PS3. It is really frustrating especially when i'm playing online on PS3.
    I'm using Beetel 450TC1 ADSL2+ router. Can it be a issue with my router?

    Check the power column in your wifi settings page.
    Set it at maximum. Select Channel 11.


    Keep Beetel450TCI in a central place with "Line of sight" access
    ( Meaning No obstructions like walls/doors etc ) . The signals radiation
    pattern. is almost a circle.0 signals equal in all directions.

    If the Antenna is parallel to ground the pattern is figure of 8.
    Say good signals North/south and weak in East /West directions.
    Rotate unit for best signals ( maximum bars )

    I did what you said but its still disconnecting. Also, my router is sitting right next to my PC. I'm also having tons of DNS errors when I try logging in to my PSN account on my PS3, can someone explain what DNS is?

    I have been using Airtel for 4 years it was good in the past, but now it has become horrible.

    Dont use Wifi, still frequent disconnections, and many other problems, data speed dies, and the customer care is very badly informed, they keep contradicting each other.

    Is this the end of airtel?

    First of all, you guys need not contact Airtel CC and confirm your plans. About some weeks back, Airtel upgraded some of their broadband related infrastructure - in the process they introduced newer plans with reduced fair usage policy limits. Then they began the slow process of migrating the existing users to some of these new plans - with / without informing the subscriber in question.

    Most probably, they have migrated you to some other plan - same rental / enhanced speeds / but reduced FUPs.
