    Default Internet Stops on using uTorrent

    Hi All,

    I have a weird problem. As soon as I start uTorrent, my internet disconnects (sometimes instantly some time after an hour or so).

    I am using Airtel Broadband with beetel 110BXI modem. When the disconnection happens, the LED with label "PC" keeps blinking. Only way to get out of it is a complete restart of modem

    I am using Windows8 (happens on Windows 7 too). But if I just surf or download using browser, everything just works fine. I have tried lowering some of the uTorrent settings as per whatever I have found from Google but I still can't get it fixed.

    Any ideas?

    Have you tried downloading using another torrent client such as bitcomet?

    In modem Advanced options LAN uncheck UpNp box. reboot.

    Tried upnp disable. Still same.

    I should try a different client. I will keep you guys posted on the outcome.

    Beetel 110BXI modem
    Check in Management Access control.
    see all buttons selected on WAN side.
    Have you done any Port forwarding settings ?

    I think utorrent has some issues with Windows 8 ( read somewhere).

    But if I just surf or download using browser, everything just works fine.

    You mean even though torrent is not working, you can surf using browser ?

    For now, ignore Windows 8 (it is still in Pre Beta) or update it (I think an update is available). Do you have Windows 8 as dual boot ?

    If it happens in Windows 7,

    1. Make sure there is an exception in firewall for utorrent. Also disable antivirus and firewall, then try.

    2. Reinstall utorrent and check. Also try using another client and update the result.

    3. Hardware reset the modem and check. Helps in some cases.

    @essbebe- will try and check

    @meetdilip: It's the same in Windows7. I doubt OS has anything to do with this one.

    If nothing works, reset modem, reconfigure it and check. Helps at times.

    my suggestion is use Windows 7 OS.
    because windows 8 under development and testing.
    so..problem is common issue.
