I have a plan to 1Mbps 15GB FUP 999 from the last six days, I am Airtel company as I crossed the 15GB, which includes download and 256kbps upload thanks. I downloaded a movie, I nearly 2GB upload and download only 700MB of Airtel have started as a seed accelerator, which leads to the speed limit exhausted. From last 6 days is not able to enjoy YouTube and most of the sites load slow down and the quality of VoIP services.
Since this afternoon, I am getting 600kbps to 2mbps speeds. I had already exhausted my FUP limit for the month and they reduced my speeds to 256kbps. This (temporary) speed burst today is a welcome move from Airtel.
@ ajaygowda
Any updates from your side?
I found the link to the new plans in another forum where I am a member too.
Every ADSL connection has two kinds of profiles. The speed profile and the plan profile. The speed profile is where the speeds are set. The plan profile is primarily used for billing purposes. Unlike cable-modem based internet, the speed profiles of ADSL connections is maintained on the ISP servers. So it is difficult to alter them or uncap the default speeds according to our will.
Yes BSNL is offering 512kbps UL plan for 750/- per month. As of now, there are no fair usage policies associated with this plan.
Rumors are going on about the launch of Reliance Infotel's 4G based internet from January 2012. Naturally, the other leading ISPs must make suitable changes to the existing plans in order to fight off the competition.

i should check by restarting it
i did not understand . can you tell me in detail ?
i just want to confirm if i can use the username and password of my neighbor? he has connection of Mbps and he rarely uses so he told me to empty his usage till 10 GB. so if i use the password he gave is it illegal? he will not get extra bill because he has unlimited connection .
@cool_techie_tvm
-so which is the other forum? PM me .,
I am not sure whether you will be able to use others username/password.
There is a technique termed as port binding with regards to ADSL connections. Binding the username/password to the respective subscriber's telephone number. In other words, when the subscriber tries to authenticate the connection with their service provider, the machinery will check whether the request is coming from the telephone number which has been allocated to the subscriber.
BSNL does it all on the connections. I am not sure about Airtel though.
Likewise, PM sent.
