    Angry Binatone Problem...ethernet...

Hello all. I recently moved from US to India and I got airtel internet.

Then theey gave me the binatone router. Wireless works, but wired, not the case

The binatone has two wires. As you know one of them is the phone line in which the internet comes from. The other is the ethernet wire coming out the binatone which is connected to a router( LINKSYS WRT120N )... then there is another ethernet wire connecting to my PC. It does not have wireless internet on it so wired is the only option.

I first tried connecting the cable from my PC directly into my binaton. That didn't work. Then I connected it to my linksys and then linked that to my binatone. That worked for about a month. Then that stopped working all of a sudden. Now when I use my laptop, the wired internet and wireless works fine, but the same cannot be said for the PC.

Your help would be much appreciated

    In Desktop:

COPY/PASTE Only the ethernet data here.

    2.Start Network LAN
    properties
new window ( network settings )
    select TCP/IP IPV4
    Properties
    New window
    Select Obtain IP address automatically.

( or same method in laptop LAN and for testing enter same IP data . If already Obtain Ip address automatically selected do not change )
    Apply Save.

Confirm you are not using a Dialer to connect .
Airtel USERID/PW entered in System Window.
If so change to PPPoE mode ( store id/pw in modem Internet page)
    Feedback.

You can type "BINATONE essbebe" in SEARCH BOx above . for old threads.

confirm model number of Binatone. ( wifi model ) or Lan only

oddly I have seemed to have fixed it somehow...It local ip address was wrong or something like that in the troubleshooting manager. After that It was fixed...Dont know why though. This happed when doing step two. while searching for network lan I ended up in the network and sharing center, I pressed the red "X" and then it did some stuff and then became fixed. Does anyone know what the problem exactly was and how do I make sure it dosen't happen again, because I am clueless...

Okay..now after I restart my computer the internet is messed up again...

I do the same stuff as I did before but this time no results...

Presume now you are on PPPoE mode
    ( userID/PW stored in Internet page )
    Enable DHCP. in Binatone .
    similar page.
    http://flickcabin.com/public/view/full/27002 STATUS
Click on top for other menu pages ( Not needed. I think )

    2.
Select Dynamic IP in Linksys' wifi router.
    reply to other queries.
If your OS is Windows 7 diagnose will correct the problem.
(Click the lan Icon and select diagnose )

I cant seem to find the Dynamic IP in Linksys's wifi router...The exact router is WRT120N. Hope that sheds some light on the subject.

Very sorry for the very long response...I got caught up in a little work.

Anyway...I set the linksys' settings to what it showed in the picture, but linksys still isn't getting internet...

Should I reset the router(reset thing on the back?)
