I got the dreaded CC letter yesterday. Like I had last month, too. My billing cycle is 11th to 10th, so that means a couple of weeks in the wilderness.
Speaking of last month, which was relatively laid back btw, I decided to give
broadband speed on demand a go, and prices be damned . Consequently a monthly rackup of 1299 + taxes went a few notches higher to 2100 thereabouts. But this month was different. I hardly had any time to rake thru the offals of the interweb and I'm a bit rattled by this "gift" so to speak.
I didnt have bitmeter installed yet, so what follows might be pure conjecture :
a. Is Airtel targeting my usage pattern to maximise billings from "strategically timed impulse purchase emails"(STIPEs for short, rather cute that was)?
b. Does Diwali mean nothing but money to them ?
Okay, I think i know the answer to the last one ( its YES ). But regarding the second, think ill need more proof to take a call. Like anyone else on this forum with the same billing schedule as above, and with the same "FUP reached" email in the box over the last two days .
Anyway, i may not have the numbers to back my paranoia but airtel-at-adyar is going to receive a diwali gift of its own sooner than later. I mean, which heartless a$$jerk of an ISP sends a mail like that just before diwali? A moneygrubbing one of course.
