Unhappy Very Very Pathetic service from Airtel broadband

    Hello sir,

I have been a airtel customer for more than 3 years now and was very happy with your service until the month of november. On November 15th, 2011, I had requested for a plan change [ Req no. 7318166 ] for which I had been assured that the plan change would occur from the next billing cycle which would be from December 5th,2011. However the plan was not migrated even on December 7th,2011. Due to this I lodged another complaint on December 7th, 2011 [ Req no. 8458896] which was to be resolved by December 15th,2011. However that never happened and entire week my speed kept on fluctuating between 0.5 and 2 Mbps. Hence I lodged another complaint on December 17th, 2011 [ Req no. 8914086] which shows as closed status even though it is not yet resolved

I have contacted the customer care service almost 20-30 times but each time I am amazed by the kind of things I get to hear from them. Every time they try to convince me that I am in a different plan and I am supposed to receive different speeds. I have already wasted to so much money by just calling to your customer care from my bsnl landline (never is possible through your airtel landline due to reasons unknown). Each time they tell me that my complaint is in elevated status and I would be getting a call from your backend team which I never receive in spite of me updating it every time I call. And the most depressing fact was one customer care executive said that plan upgrade has been done and I am not receiving the speed due to problem on my Linux PC. How ridiculous is that? Linux can never be affected by a virus and yet your customer care executive blames me for the problem. I even tried to give feedback through your eportal but that thing never seems to accept any feedback. This is by far the worst customer service I have received from such a company.

Since I use the Internet a lot, I requested for a plan migration to your higher plan but your customer care executives dont seem to understand my problem. Once they also told me that the server is not available for plan upgrade. In that case how come that speed on demand is available while regular plan upgrade is not.I am ready to approach consumer court as I have been receiving poor service and have been harassed by your customer service executives. This is my last try to solve this problem in a congenial way failing which I may have to disconnect your services.

    With regards,

Better send email to 123 @airtel.in or to the Nodal/appelate officers
( details on back of telephone bill )
Get some ack in writing , before you can go to consumer court for deficiency of service.
If you have a selfcare page , you could post a complaint there or talk to technical staff.
This forum is NOT related to AIRTEL in any way.
Please EDIT andd delete your mobile number to avoid spam /sms calls !

send a disconnection Notice mentioning a date ( billing block date )
Hope Customer retention cell will respond !
Later, if you wish you have to surrender the telephone and Modem ( if issued) to nearest Airtel office and settle the bill. Get a receipt for surrender of equipments.

In the meantime apply for MTNL/or BSNL service for an U/L plan. as
    standby ( backup )

It seems you are trying to apply for a plan which has got speeds greater than the local DSLAM is capable of. Disregard the speeds listed in the speed on demand interface. Verify whether your line is capable of high speeds.

For instance, my airtel line is capped to 2mbps. If I apply for a 4mbps plan, they will surely take the request. However, they will not allocate the plan since my speeds are capped at 2mbps. Even if they allocate the 4mbps plan on my 2mbps supported line, the speeds will be limited to 2mbps only.

In spite of repeated complaints the same story continues all over again....the complaint was rectified on 10 th of Jan 2011 but again the same problem arose on 11th itself and upon calling I learned that plan has been changed without my knowledge. I dont know why do u want to spoil things at least when they are rectified. I am really petrified by the appalling service airtel offers these days.

Default Airtel ki safalta ki karan - bharti airtel grahak ki mazboori

I have a similar complaint starting since August 2011 - when i was charged for DSL Usages charges for three consecutive months, though having migrated to UL PLan 749/- w.e.f 26th June 2011.

Their Apellate sucks ! so also their Nodal Office. there is no one to respond to any email sent to Apellate.

Though their bills very clearly shows unethical overbilling thru DSL Usage for the UL Plan 749/- , Mr. Tarun Saini the Nodal office emailed me boasting of a state of art billing system and insist i pay the 'supposed dues'.

An email to Apellate asking for an explanation of the break-up of what payment is due by me, no response has been received. Instead Airtel threatens through phone calls of sending Legal Notice, when the shoe is on the other foot.

In reality Airtel has my money lying in surplus- this is because EXPECTING Airtel to be honest like myself, i hoped that when the matter of over billing was sorted out the excess money that i paid would be adjusted.

Airtel is boldly violating our constitutional rights for INFORMATION and safety openly and are not brought to book

Despite so many complaints on blog sites - the TRAI has not set up any Regulatory body to check the complains and bring the cheats to book. We are just the hapless CONSUMER, and Airtel has been licensed to cheat us.

Yet Airtel has endangered the security of my family by sending Collection agents to my house on two occassions.

BHARTI AIRTEL your next advertising punch line should be - Humari Safalta - hai BHARTI AIRTEL Grahak ki Mazboori !

Sunil Mittal Saab - Your staff should be trained to adopt other means to rake in profits rather than increase profits through the above dubious means used on hapless customers.

An organization is never too big - for correction, If the captain of the ship is aware of his responsibility towards his passengers (read customers)
