Thread: Checking Wifi Strength

is there any software/tool to check wireless signal strength ?
am using asus dsl n10 modem-router on airtel broadband.
operating system is windows 7 64 bit.

Rather complicated. not worth the trouble./expense.
Position the router at a higher plane. Keep nearer the window.
Rotate it ( with Antenna parallel to the ground) for maximum signals
at Target area.( Radiation Pattern figure of 8 say N/S or E/W maximum)
If Antenna is detachable try a 5 dBi antenna.
In laptop Network WLAN properties page will show signal bars.
