Thread: Wifi not working..........Airtel

I am having this problem where I have replaced 3 routers and still the problem remains.

I can use the internet via lan but my Wifi does not show up. The light in the router does not blink however when I first start the router it blinks and also is recognized by my comp. However with in seconds the wifi light in the router becomes stable and the signal does not show up in any system.

I feel there could be someone using jammer as the same problem is with my neighbor.

Is there anyone with the similar problem and have been able to get solution?

Confirm WIFI worked earlier or not. Problem : is it recent /sudden ?
Any assistance taken from Airtel CC ?

Mention your modem/router model/make /number.
Probably Binatone DTW865W or Beetel 450TCI.
Find/give the details of the Firmware version shown on top.
of router menu page STATUS/Device Info.
ANY SSID appears in WLan page of laptop ?

WIFI was working earlier but this problem is now for the last 2-3 months. The problem is also intermitent, sometime the WIFI is there sometimes the WIFI is completely gone.

I tried calling Airtel CC but said they could not help as the internet is working but its only the Wifi not working so they asked me to get in touch with the local vendor.

I am using a Dlink DSL 2750U

Change Channel to No 11.
In Wireless Advanced check button Power is 100%

Also wireless LAN card (Advanced settings ) power selected
correctly.

Position the router at a higher plane ( height)

Or give details here.

Check SNR/ATTN data in Beetel450BXI Summary Statistics/ADSL menu.
Higher SNR /lower AttN better.
