Default Now double speed not free.

First when I subscribed for airtel broadband I used to get double speed at night for free.
But now they are asking for 250 night top up and only then I can get double speed at night.
How can they change the post paid plan this way.

    Default broad band quey

Iam planning to take BSNL internet connection at home (recently they covered in our zone). My ultimate aim is to use messenger for chatting (appx. Time Two hours per day, with web cam) plus general 1 to 2 hours web browsing (news paper email etc) General usage falls under day time. Wish to know the suitable package?
    Thanks

I am still planning 999 UL plan as I need an unlimited plan and airtel 999 is better than bsnl 900 as airtel has good customer care and also provies good reliability.

Cool Airtel gives speed in UPTO......KBPS!!

Even i have home plan -999 - 256 kbps but i never get that speed - it hovers up and down but below 256kbps. The thing is that they give u speed in UPTO Conditions & that is why the speed is not constant.
Even the download speed is not constant - although theoretically it should be - 32kbps.
I even went for 2mbps Speed On Demand but that was even more disappointing as i was not even close to 500kbps but was around 340-400kbps and the download speed was around 60kbps.

But u got no choice as Airtel is BEST OF THE WORST.

Perhaps there are certain tips & tricks to get more speeds - inform me if u find one.

I would suggest you to get there unlimted home plan and in this package you can download at the same speed no matter of what time you are downloading.

You could use the 512kbps plan offered in Airtel. They will do good. The free download time will be extra but the speed will not be upto the expectation. Or else you should go for the bsnl 500 plan which will fit you exactly. Most of my friends are in this plan.

I think it is an overstatement that Airtel is BEST OF THE WORST actually it is One eyed amongst the Blinds.

Well if you would like to go chatting and web cam talk then i think you should go with 500 package as it would be best for you. But remember you would need to keep a check on your usage from time to time so that you dont cross the alloted free bandwidth.
