    Default Is this a reality?

The new 8 Mbps plan could be the fastest in India. But how long will they take to launch this product in the market. If that happens, will they be able to support the customers fully. With the influence they have, i think they could really make this very well. And our country will be one of the top countries in the world to have such a fast data transfer rate. But that is going to be too expensive for them.

Default airtel 8Mbps is a Bluff

i was very happy when airtel announced 8Mbps broadband. i took new connection with airtel and changed my tariff from 128kbps line. but dint notice any change. still files r downloading at around 140KB/s . if u ask thir technical team, they will ask u to download file from microsoft. which is acutally good around 800KB/s. But except that site u wont get that speed from any site. seems they have alloted some more bandwidth in thir gateway for that site. except that u wont get that speed with any site. above that u wont feel 8Mbps while u browse pages gets loaded similar to 128kbps. but airtel speed test site shows 9Mbps (Big bluff). when u chk with MySpeed - Speed Test it shows 1.7Mbps.

Wht about the other 8Mpbs subscribers r u people getting anywhere around 1MB/s download from various sites.

finally they sent one technical person to home, but he also could not do anything. i think i should change my plan to 128kbps. WHEN will bsnl will finish thir infrastructure and will announce 8Mbps lines.

Well i dont think that our country would be at the top with just a high cost internet connection as in other countries you can get even 100 mbps connection for just 100 $ or so per month and by this you can have a picture where we stand right now.

I am also with you. It is expensive for me and i think that they should rethink for the packages they are offering as they would not get much response for packages as such prices.

i can go with it if they really will be providing this speed..most of the new launches are just promised but never implemented that way..so i wish its implemented as its said about it..if really there is such announcement done..i need a faster connection for my website work..i can not compromise speed for cost!!

8 mpbs connection have been launched in India and more over if you see you would notice that it is only for commercial sector right now. I am sure that soon we would have this in residential sector also.

I already have the 8 mbps connection but it is form BSNL. I am waiting for it to get operational and i would say that it would really be a great thing to have this speed connection. I am just waiting for their unlimited 8 mbps connection (if they would launch it ).
