if your bandwidth speed is 256kbps, you can download at the rate of 32Kbytes/s
i think that 100Mbps is max speed upto which our cable and device can transfer data .

    Red face speed is 100Mbps.

In all airtel Modem/routers connected by ethernet card to PC it will show as 100Mbps at the system tray though the actual speed is around 256Kbps. That is the maxicum the router can handle. For actual speed visit Airtel Customercare and you will find 'check your speed' at the right panel. It will also give you upload speed.

The best ever speed test I have ever seen is at Broadband speed test - Broadband Forum check it out and I am sure you will like it.
All you need to do is download that small file and install it on your system and run the script and it will give you every which detail about the performance of your connection
    Hope you like it.
