    Question Airtel broadband connection

    I am Siddharth Singh recently opt for the Airtel broadband connection
    Please read,around 4 weeks back i wanted to get the connection
    so i submitted the form in the net providing all the details. After few days
    one lady Ramya called me and said if you want the connection send me your id
    proof and one photo,that time i was in the office and dint have photocopy of my
    PAN card,she said no problem and she send one executive to collect my original
    PAN card that time he asked for 2200 rs, i gave him 500 because i dint have
    that much amount that time. I told him i want the connection from 21st november
    because currently i am using some other connection that wl get expire on 21st
    nov.
    Now the reason why i am sending this mail is because that person (Parsuraman,mob no-9003010974)
    kept my original PAN card and he was telling me that i will not give you untill
    you pay the rest amount, he forced me to pay the rest amount today as i have to
    book tatkal ticket and i needed my PAN card. i paid him and he returned me my
    PAN card.
    Airtel is no-1 in INDIA and no-4th in world is this the way they treat the
    customer , to force the customer keeping his original document(already i paid
    500 and i want the connection from 21st nov now i am not using the connection)
    i talked to one customer care explaining the same he said i can file a
    complaint on their mail id , i did so but no luck there too.
    Moreover from 20th nov we are trying to reach them for the connection but nobody bothered to give it and yesterday i came to know that there is no feasibility at all in our area, then why how can they provide us the connection after giving wrong information.
    Now i am gonna disconnect my airtel dth service too and i will tell my all the relatives and friends to do so.
    THEY ARE DOING A BIG FRAUD.

    Do you have a receipt for the money you paid? If you do then Airtel will refund your money but if you haven't got any receipt then most probably the guy who collected the money pocketed it himself.

    No matter how good or bad a company is you should never pay cash. If you pay by cheque you would have a proof of payment. File a complaint with Airtel if you have a receipt. If they don't refund your money file a complaint of cheating at your local police station against Airtel and also name the person you paid money to including his phone number and whatever details you may have.

    Usually they ask for cheque (A/c withdrawn). Why did you give the money to the feild staff, else you could have asked for a receipt! Unless you have that, I dont think Airtel will take the responsibility, and they have no rights to hold your documents/PAN card originals.

    Documents required for new Airtel Broadband in Chennai.

    1. Address Proof (Example: Driving License, Ration Card, Voters ID, Passport, Bank Statement, Credit Card Statement, Land-line Telephone Bill, Rental Agreement & Etc.)
    2. ID Proof ( Ex.: Driving Licence, Pan Card, Voters ID & Etc.)
    3. One Passport Size Photograph.
    Total Installation Charges Rs.500/- (To be paid at the time of booking, by Cash or Cheque.)
