    Question Is beetel 220bx adsl2 + modem not a reliable one ?

Whenever i ask the Airtel guys they tell me that Beetel 220BX is unreliable & transmits virus. I have Beetel 100Cx USB Modem & i wonder if u can get more speed with Beetel 200BX as compared to 100CX.

I have applied the following tweaks -
    1. Windows XP change DNS server.

    2. SpeedGuide.net's SG TCP Optimizer.

    3. Running Lvllords Patch

    4. Using FireTune

    5. gpedit.msc - QoS Packet Scheduler

    6. Network Browsing Speed - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace

I have 256/kbps Home Plan - 999 unlimited connection with dynamic IP adress My download speed keeps changing as the speed is upto 256kbps.

I was unable to use 220BX on my PC although all the Lights on the modem are ON & under the Network Connections -> Under the Local Area Connection it shows connected at 100mbps but when i try to open any site it does not open.
The connection seems to be on but no website opens.

I even tried to use it through USB but no use.

What can be the problem ?

    Anymore tweaks.

Non working of 220bx has been resolved as it was not properly configured.

I dont understand why airtel customer support would say that it transmit viruses... Just have a good internet security suit and you will be fine.
