I really do not believe this. Is this for sure, do you know the source from which you got this. If this is indeed true, then I have decided that my next switch (from BSNL) would be to Airtel without any doubts.

Hey dude, what was your bandwidth... Are you in 2mbps plan? Only then you could have so much download speed. I have only 256 kbps connection. Is that a software or anything else and does it fit all bandwidths?? Please clear my doubts because i used download almost anything and everything everyday. It will be useful for me then.

    Thumbs up It's True

He is absolutely true bcoz I'm also getting higher speeds on my 64kbps UL.....u can check this http://www.indiabroadband.net/airtel...ited-plan.html (Amazing speed on 64Kbps unlimited plan.)
but this speed came for some hours (4-5) a day and all this continues for 2 weeks.
Reasons for this is that airtel is making some changes in it's server bcoz they r introducing 8Mbps Plan that's why all these happens.....

i just dont know one thing. Why you guys are stuck with torrents. Just get one month rapid hsare account and then if you get these speed just download with it. You would get full speed unlike torrents which keeps dependent on other person speed.

I use Rapidshare to download stuff and i would say that i get a stable speed of 20-22 kbps which is good with my present 256 kbps connection. I also think that RS is much better then torrents.

How much are you paying for such good connection? Is it unlimited? I can't get a better connection than 512kbps

Default this is just a spike

this is a just a surge that happens in networks...when i had a mobile office connection (its airtel's dial-up though cell phone), the usual speed was 5-10 kbps. But many times I had got such spike suddenly of about 200 kbps..

getting speed from airtel is that you should download between 10.00am to 2.00pm.
