    Default Internet frequent disconnection DSL is still n Internet light is blinking

    I'm facing this problem which is bit different from other threads, i get disconnect every 2 or 3 minutes while my DSL light remains still and lan is connected( No sign for cable unplug or anything) , my connected is revived after few seconds and this thing keep on happening !!! My internet is pinging and change to =1ms from <1ms when its get disconnect ... please help me what to do , is there any issue by my side or ISP issue ?

    It is most probably your line quality. Call up Airtel broadband customer care and get them to check your line. Pinging what IP? where are you trying to ping. 1ms looks like your own router as anything furthur then that would not give such low latency.

    i'm not a computer guy, this is what i'm doing ping 192.168.1.1 -t, i think it shows something about connectivity ..
    thankx for the reply , i have already called the customer care and they are coming tomorrow in the evening. hope they will be having some solution.

    It is most probabbly at their end. Line quality is what comes to mind. Hope you get your connection sorted tomorrow Dont forget to update here.

    the airtel guy came in the morning, after a 30 min check up he said proudly that it is your window problem - hahaha i expected that as well !! i counter apart it , i brought my ipod n connected it with the modem the problem still persist , the airtel guy again said its because of your computer , so i disconnected then n there still same issue.
    atlast i brought my friend along with his laptop who is using airtel, my frnd told guy that he is facing same issue from yesterday, the airtel face was totally pale - hahaha , we connected his laptop with the modem wow the same issue ..
    finally, airtel guys admitt the problem is not the modem or desktop but its from airtel end , i told my frnd to complaint about it so that airtel would look inot it. thankx to information shared in the forum i was able to counteract him otherwise i would have been re-installing my window.

    this problem is sometimes common infact i had the same problem of the ISP guy!! he told me that My windows is faulty but the major fault was in the guy who came to chk ;P
    Just chek out that the guy who came to chk the problem would have been your LINEMAN not the iNTERnt guy poor indian ISP'
