Default Airtel says no coverage but its available in same building

Airtel guy did the feasibility check, DP is available just behind our house, they said u can get connection so i gave all required papers, after two weeks with lot of follow up they came back that connection is not available in my area WHEN I TOLD THEM ALREADY that THERE ARE TWO AIRTEL BROADBAND connections available in same house. NOW they are saying there is a problem with cable in DP box/cable and can not give connection. They took two weeks to say this.. REALLY... I registered many complaints but no luck every time i had to call but everytime they tried to avoid me.

    here is some information:
    Complaint ref # 33632798, 33598402
In fact they created the account but did not provide connection, account # 080- 60845805.
I also paid them online but no refund yet.

I am so disappointed with Airtel, i wonder why they mistreat even new customer.

Every piece of hardware an ISP deploys has a max limit to how many connections can be provided and I am guessing that they cannot provide more connections in your area without having to upgrade their hardware.

Airtel has come back to you telling that they cannot provide a connection which seems lot better as compared to Tikona who have been giving me silent treatment for years now Nvere came back to me to tell me that they cannot provide a connection.

We are still in a situation where demand is a lot more then the supply and till this situation changes we will be treated like this no matter what company it is. Wit a few more years and they would come begging It is all about competition or lack of competition in your case.

Go for Reliance or Bsnl if Airtel does not want you as their customer. Their loss.

well i understand your point, but u know what, they told me there is no connection available when there was one connection available in same building where i stay. I have been following up with Airtel even though they turned down my request and i noticed last week they installed another connection in same building and still telling to me that there is a problem in underground cable.

I am not sure why they are telling this excuse to me even after charging booking amount.

I also called Tikona(even though i heard many bad reviews, IT folks at work told me that never opt for Tikona, its unsecured) as i did not have any other option and i need internet. Tikona guys came last week and tried for 6hrs but their device was not getting good signal, they cam back again with engineers but could not fix it. They cam back today again and trying to give me connection but i am still not convinced that Tikona is a good option so waiting on Airtel for some more time. Tikona guys just want to get the papers and money, they do not want to talk about customer service/response time if i face any issues :-(

Get a bsnl adsl connection if others are not providing a connection.

Why wait for a company that does not give two ****s about you? Get a Bsnl connection and forget about airtel and reliance.

If latency is not a problem for you then get a Bsnl evdo connection. It is the cheap and best option if latency does not bother you much. I have even played online games without any trouble but you will get an extra 50-60ms latency to every server you ping as compared to a wireline connection.

Bsnl EVDO is the way to go dude. Forget about adsl. Evdo does everything any other connection would do and it is portable which you can take out with your laptop. What more do you ask for. It is cheap too.

I second that advise. Get Bsnl evdo and forget about the rest but find out first if the signals are good at your house.

Dont wait for them to respond Go to your nearest Bsnl office and fill out the form and give them your id and whatever they require. Get it dont asap. I would also suggest an evdo connection if you are not concerned about higher latency.
