Default Does airtel charge for data usage properly

    Hi friends,

I have read some users of Airtel broadband complaining the usage of data by airtel is unfair and surprising. I have not yet got the connection. I have planned to download heavily upto 80 Gb.. and I don't want to pay for cheaters(if they are).

Suppose if I disconnect my airtel BB, will my modem taken back? After how many months I can disconnect my BB? Is there any deposit for getting the connection?
I may disconnect BB and shift for 3G after 2 months.I have planned for BB only for downloads. Railwire comes to my area only after 2 months

    Thanks,
    Jammy.

Airtel does not play an unfair game when it comes to data usage. Their prices are pretty high and their profit margins are good. Airtel is a reputed company and I dont see them doing such a thing.

If you only need a connection for two months then why not get a MTS dongle instead? Costs Rs999 per month for 40GB data with post paid and prepaid for the same amount get 20GB.

It is always better to get an unlimited connection instead of one with a FUP.

80GB is a lot of data, so ideally I would recommend another service provider, unless Airtel have a good plan for data usage of 80GB. Otherwise Airtel is a very good broadband service provider, I think this is one service provider which has the least number of issues.

Airtel is one service provider who does honest billing and has an honest data usage policy.

Yes may be there is some issue in the data usages. There is some software which we use and check our data usage history that is GlassWire, you will download it and check the data usage of yours.

If you think you will be cheated in regards to data usage then I suggest you monitor your data using an application and then compare it to when you bill comes. Otherwise speaking Airtel plays a pretty much fair game with data consumption.

Airtel has a very standard and fair policy of data usage. There is a reason why Airtel is one of the most reliable brands in India and it does complete justice to it. I've never felt once that Airtel is charging more for the data I use.
